Supply Chain & Operations Management
Do you enjoy improving processes, solving problems, or understanding how products move from creation to customers? Have recent global supply chain challenges made you curious about how these systems actually work?
The three-year Supply Chain and Operations Management program helps you explore these questions while preparing you for a career in a fast-growing and highly valued field. A supply chain connects the movement of goods, services, and information from suppliers all the way to the final customer — and skilled professionals are essential at every step.
The supply chain sector plays a major role in Canada’s economy. It employs hundreds of thousands of people, supports billions in exports, and manages the planning, coordination, and movement of over a trillion dollars’ worth of goods each year. With thousands of positions currently unfilled and many more expected in the coming years, the demand for trained supply chain professionals continues to rise.
Modern supply chains require adaptable, collaborative individuals who can make informed decisions and apply new technologies to improve efficiency from production through delivery.
This program uses a hands-on, project-driven approach and includes opportunities to work directly with industry partners. Students participate in multiple applied projects, including two capstone courses in their final term.
- In Operational Execution & Decision Making, students gain practical experience using ERP systems, decision-support tools, and integrated analytics.
- In Value Stream Mapping, students work with a real company to complete an on-site improvement project — and some students receive job offers from these partners after completing the course.
